Tatachilla Lutheran School
Cheesman Architects has enjoyed a long relationship with this Lutheran school that extends back to its inception in the early 1990s and has been responsible for the design and construction of all the school's permanent buildings and external environments. These have been delivered in line with the original school Master Plan, developed by Cheesman Architects.
The school campus has been sensitively incorporated into the sweeping vineyard region of McLaren Vale with particular attention paid to the scale and nature of the architecture in relation to its rural context.
School facilities delivered by Cheesman Architects have included classrooms, arts, sport, library, technology and science buildings, as well as linking external spaces The buildings are particularly notable for their attention to reduced energy consumption through careful attention to passive design.
