UniSA Reid Building Level 2, Laboratory Redevelopment
This project involved the redevelopment and upgrade of a 1960s laboratory building to provide state-of-the-art teaching laboratories. The existing building needed to be structurally reinforced to support new equipment and transformed into a modern cutting edge facility.
The challenge was to fit modern teaching and research laboratories into a dated and restrictive building. The project was designed specifically to allow for a short construction period so that the majority of works could occur between teaching semesters.
The building also had to meet the University's strict environmental requirements relating to material selection and design.
