Royal Adelaide Hospital Carpark

A new 1400 space facility which consolidated the hospital's surface level car parking into a smaller site area by using multi-storey design.

This development enabled the return of hospital land back to the adjacent Adelaide parklands surrounding the hospital.

A significant challenge was to locate a tall building on the edge of the culturally sensitive Botanic Gardens. This required careful consideration and design of the building elevations and involved extensive consultation with a wide range of stakeholder groups.

The design solution incorporated graphically designed façade panelling which provided a sensitive backdrop to the garden areas.

It has been well received by all, including the Botanic Gardens.
